SHINELONG announced the official opening of its 7,800-square-meter Innovation Center in Guangzhou on the 19th. The center integrates kitchen equipment display, scenario-based experience, technical support, warehousing and logistics to strengthen project collaboration.

From Equipment Supply to Integrated Commercial Kitchen Solutions

In international commercial kitchen projects, clients don’t just focus on the equipment specifications and prices. A well-planned kitchen layout, equipment-to-need matching, and on-time project delivery are equally important. Commercial Kitchen Appliances Market (2025-2030), published by Grand View Research, also provides further context for understanding the importance of operational efficiency, equipment energy efficiency, technological upgrades, and service support.

Against this backdrop, SHINELONG built an innovation center, aiming to more closely connect design technology, product application, warehousing and logistics.

Founded in Guangzhou, China in 2008, SHINELONG provides commercial kitchen equipment supply, kitchen planning and design, installation and commissioning support, and after-sales service. To date, SHINELONG has served clients in over 150 countries, and delivered more than 8,000 kitchen projects in sectors including hotels, restaurants, educational institutions, and healthcare.

The opening of this innovation center provides SHINELONG with a new offline platform for integrating equipment display, technical communication and project support, and also allows customers to engage in more specific discussions during the project planning and equipment selection stages.

Jean Yang, the founder of SHINELONG, stated, "This innovation center is by no means a ‘vanity project’ for show, but rather a ‘battleship’ for SHINELONG to move beyond the low-price competition and win the high-end full-service battle."

Three Capabilities at the Core of the Innovation Center

Kitchen Design and Engineering Support

Commercial kitchen design involves not only equipment layout, but also comprehensive consideration of personnel movement, workflow, equipment operating space, and infrastructure interfaces.

SHINELONG Innovation Center’s creative inspiration area provides space for kitchen layout discussions and solution development. Designers can work with clients using floor plans to discuss workflow, equipment configuration, and utility connections (water, power, and gas), and adjust their design approach based on actual needs. Incorporating feedback from experienced chefs, they can also consider both the cooking process and space utilization.

In the previous Baghdad Restaurant project in Guangzhou, SHINELONG adopted an island layout design based on Iraqi cuisine, which helped the restaurant increase its service speed by 40% during peak service periods. To this end, the central kitchen experience area is set up to provide a real-world environment where customers can verify the adaptability of the kitchen equipment to their specific business formats.

Application Scenarios Across Foodservice Operations

Different business formats have distinct requirements for equipment configurations and kitchen workflows.

SHINELONG Innovation Center is currently planning scenarios including hot kitchens, baking, supermarkets, food processing, and cleaning & recycling. These areas will provide customers with a direct reference for understanding the uses, configuration relationships, and application environments of different equipment.

Building on this foundation, the scenario laboratory and sample development area, which are scheduled to be constructed as planned, will further support product testing, scenario simulation, and customer requirement verification. Related work can focus on cooking methods, usage habits, and on-site conditions in different regions, helping the team to more specifically identify the needs in equipment applications and providing a basis for subsequent product optimization and sample development.

Warehousing, Logistics and Project Fulfillment

Commercial kitchen projects typically involve a wide variety of equipment and accessories. The accuracy of order fulfillment, the completeness of accessories, the suitability of export packaging for long-distance transport, and the alignment of shipping arrangements with project schedules can all affect the commercial kitchen cooking equipment installation.

SHINELONG innovation center integrates warehousing and logistics into a unified operational framework. The planned installation and commissioning demonstration area will showcase related tools and materials, equipment installation, as well as site requirements for utilities, helping customers understand on-site preparations in advance.

Building a More Connected Customer Experience

Around the innovation center, SHINELONG has also planned the Kitchen Experience Day for professional clients. This program will extend client visits from traditional product browsing to more systematic professional exchanges, covering seven dimensions: product knowledge, cooking experience, technology research and development, kitchen design, installation engineering, maintenance services, and brand awareness.

Within this experiential framework, clients can communicate with designers, R&D personnel, experienced chefs, and technical support teams to understand how the equipment is used, kitchen layout ideas, and project implementation requirements based on their own project needs.

Further Development Planned Through the End of 2026

The opening of SHINELONG Innovation Center marks the beginning of its construction and operation. According to the current plan, the construction of the laboratory, sample development area, and engineering demonstration area is expected to commence in November 2026, while other hardware improvement work is scheduled to continue in December.

With the ongoing development and operational expansion of its innovation center, SHINELONG will establish a closer project collaboration mechanism, helping clients to more clearly assess their needs for commercial kitchen equipment configuration and implementation, and providing continuous professional support for catering projects in global markets.

"Building an innovation center is an inevitable step for SHINELONG toward the future," said Jean Yang. "In order to create better kitchens globally, we must build an open, diverse, and empowering innovation platform and go beyond the role of a mere commercial kitchen equipment company."
