Scientist Announces discovery of “Space-Phase Selection”, as an organizing principle of nature.

The paper, “Space-Phase Selection: An Organizing Principle for Stability, Coherence, and Persistence from Elementary Particles to Cosmic Structure,” (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21205630) makes the case.

‘What Darwin’s Natural Selection did for Biology – Space-Phase does for the Universe’, says author James E. Beecham, MD. ‘By Space-Phase as a substance filling space and selecting rules that produce stability and beautiful structures throughout, the natural selection for stability and survival of structures within the universe has been conducted for billions of years’.

Dr. James E. Beecham released today a new theoretical paper proposing that not only is Space not empty – new evidence suggests that throughout space is an amazing organizing substance called Space-Phase – said to organize and guide energy and matter.

Says Beecham. ‘Because of Space-Phase, the matter and energy in our universe is guided to cooperate in forming the stable structures that we see every day through our microscopes and telescopes. These stable structures range in size from atoms and molecules, all the way up to spiral galaxies and the cosmic web. One set of rules guides them all – delivered by Space-Phase’.

According to Dr. Beecham: ‘Throughout history, many have had the sense that our universe does not just operate by accident. Yet, until now we scientists have never had a detailed mechanistic playbook of how the universe organizes. Finally are a big step closer to that understanding’.

He explains in the paper that all space appears to contain a substance or medium called Space-Phase. ‘Faraday and Maxwell knew about this one-hundred fifty years ago’ Beecham points out. ‘But then modern science got a bit lost because of an overly gloomy interpretation of the Michelson-Morley experiment. The medium story lay dormant until we rediscovered it and dug in to understand in depth how Space-Phase actually works’.

With his paper today, Beecham announces this medium in space appears to guide energy and matter into structure formation, providing structure from atoms to galaxies. ‘We call this organizing behavior – Space-Phase Selection’, he explains.

According to Beecham, Space-Phase acts in space to apply a rules-based set of mechanisms to the behavior of energy and matter. This is reminiscent of how Darwin’s Natural Selection operates by setting rules via DNA in biology.

‘In biology, Darwin showed that living organisms with advantageous traits survive more successfully. Later, genetics and DNA supplied the mechanism. Our new physics paper proposes a similar scenario in physics by outlining specific physical mechanisms. ‘With space filled by such an efficient organizer as Space-Phase, energy and matter can interact and be guided to produce the same stable configurations in space over-and-over. These include the same atoms, same molecules, and those beautiful spiral galaxies’, says Beecham.

‘If it seems like the structures of our universe are somehow selected by nature’, he says, ‘that’s because they are – via Space-Phase’.

A major strength of the paper is its cross-scale reach. Those interested in scientific detail will be pleased that the analysis connects particle stability, nuclear geometry, quantum coherence, superconductivity, slow light in Bose-Einstein condensates, molecular order, planetary resonance, and galactic structure under one organizing thesis.
