The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has introduced the “Trusted Thailand” stamp, an initiative endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, designed to elevate safety standards and reinforce international confidence in Thailand as a premier travel destination. Launched on 27 August 2025, this program recognizes tourism operators who comply with stringent safety protocols, thereby providing reassurance and peace of mind to travelers. Vice Minister Mr. Jakkaphon Tangsutthitham underscored the vital role of safety in achieving sustainable tourism growth, particularly emphasizing its importance for key markets such as China.

In an effort to recover steadily from disruptions and sustain Thailand’s global appeal, the government is integrating robust safety measures with strategic tourism promotion. These efforts include continuous enhancement of attraction standards and close collaboration with security agencies to safeguard visitors. According to Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, the Trusted Thailand stamp is emblematic of the country’s commitment to hospitality and security, serving as a beacon to restore and reinforce travelers’ trust during their visits.

Beyond certification, the Trusted Thailand initiative encompasses comprehensive safety protocols across prominent tourism sites, ensuring secure financial transactions and improved visitor care standards. The program also fosters stakeholder engagement through workshops and public forums that focus on effective safety management practices. Targeted promotional campaigns are planned ahead of the high season to attract both short-haul travelers from regions such as China and long-haul tourists from Europe and the Americas. To assist operators in aligning with these standards, a dedicated mini-site will be launched in September 2025 for self-assessment purposes, with full nationwide implementation scheduled for October 2025. Collectively, these measures position Thailand as a modern, safe, and reliable destination for the global travel community.
