The 7th High-Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Relations recently took place in Bangkok, aiming to strengthen economic ties between ASEAN and Italy. The event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European House-Ambrosetti, and the Embassy of Italy, focused on improving the ASEAN-Italy supply chain, addressing climate change, and promoting inclusive growth through digitalization and innovation. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, emphasized the importance of economic diplomacy and strong partnerships. Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, highlighted Italy’s role as an industrial ally in ASEAN’s growing economic landscape. Over 300 stakeholders attended the forum, including policymakers, business leaders, and scholars from Thailand, Italy, and various ASEAN countries. The event also featured parallel activities such as business matching sessions and roundtable discussions on boosting ASEAN-Italy investments through the financial sector and private capital.
