Thailand and China are celebrating 48 years of diplomatic relations and 17 years of cooperation between the TAT and China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand. The two countries continue to strengthen their tourism ties following a meeting between Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports and China’s Minister of Culture and Tourism.
The TAT and China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand are already preparing for the Chinese New Year celebrations in Thailand, which is one of five countries outside of China that celebrates the biggest Chinese New Year festivities. The recent visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Thailand for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders’ Meeting is portrayed as significant for strengthening the Chinese-Thai relations.
