The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) hosted the Foreign Industrial Club (FIC) 2023 Gala Dinner, aiming to promote business discussions and boost economic confidence. The event brought together Thai and foreign entrepreneurs under the theme ‘Reforming Thailand’. Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Srettha Thavisin emphasized the challenges Thailand is facing, including a stagnant economy, the pandemic, technological advancements, and climate change. The government’s response entails transforming Thailand into a technology-driven economy, upgrading agriculture, expanding the EV industry, developing sustainable tourism, and establishing high-standard medical facilities.

The FTI is committed to enhancing the competitiveness of the industrial sector and has established the FIC to promote trade and investment between the private and government sectors, diplomatic missions, and foreign investors. This initiative aims to explore new targets and foster connections between Thai and foreign entities. According to Vice Chairman of the FTI, Mr. Vichaow Rakphongphairoj, the collaboration between foreign investors and local businesses has strengthened the supply chain, elevating Thailand’s industrial capabilities and positioning it as a regional economic powerhouse.
