Beijing, Tokyo lead top 25 global cities in aggregate revenues

A study by GlobalData has found that Beijing-based public companies accounted for 19.2% of aggregate revenue among the top 25 global cities in terms of GDP in 2022. Tokyo and New York followed closely behind. The US has the highest number of cities on the list with 13, while China has five. The top 25 cities were home to over 10,000 public companies, with the US having the most at 28.3% followed by Japan, China, Canada, the UK, Singapore, France, and Russia. In terms of revenue, the Asia-Pacific region contributed the most, followed by North America.
